How to get started

. Here are a few ways we can help you explore what GSB has to offer.

Sign up for an Open House

One of our favorite parts of the admissions process is taking you on a school tour—stepping into classrooms and catching a glimpse of our dynamic dual language program. Open houses provide an in-depth view of our school’s mission, educational approach, curriculum, and our community. Every tour includes Q&As, to make sure that all of your questions are answered.

Beginning Tuesday, September 3 at 12:00 p.m., families inquiring for the 2025-26 school year can reserve, through their Ravenna account, an in-person Open House. You can create your Ravenna account here.

    • Working with our social/emotional coach to support students.

    • Providing professional-development opportunities for teachers on topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

    • Working to ensure that our school traditions, such as annual projects and performances, celebrate diverse identities in a way that is nuanced and authentic.

    • Making clear, through our hiring practices, curriculum, and school communications, that our school values social justice.

    • Exposing students to cultures and languages other than their own in an effort to celebrate differences and affirm the identity of each child.

Specifically, this means that students’ personal or social circumstances, such as ethnic origin, family background, or gender should not be obstacles to their educational potential. Rather, we aim to celebrate these identities, knowing that our school community is stronger and more joyful when we do ss
