Susan Dibs is teaching a Kidpreneur class this year and one of the main goals in the class is social responsibility. They are supporting two causes which are the Pencils of Promise and the 4-times cancer survivor Zein.
Learn more about the story of Zein here:.
The kids have raised so far $240 and got in touch with Zein’s family to see what is on his wish list since he has been deprived of normal childhood in the last 6 years and was never really able to experience anything our kids are able to. Zein’s wish is to learn how to play golf and he asked for golf clubs for him and his little sister who also has some childhood hidden losses due to Zein’s situation. The golf clubs both cost around $500 but the company gave us a discount of $300 after hearing his story and now we are able to buy them for both.
Today the students found out what kind of gifts they are able to buy with the money and even wrote two cards; one for Zein telling him how inspired they are by his strength and another card for the great little sister who recently donated her hair to other kids with cancer. Such an amazing family who are super grateful for the efforts of our young social entrepreneurs at GSB.
